I just signed up for WeightWise RX™. What happens next, and when will I get my medication?
Here is what happens after you sign up.
- Choose your plan. Pick the subscription length that works for you: 1-month, 3-month or 6-month.
- Complete your intake questionnaire. This gives your clinician the health information needed to build your treatment plan. If you have not finished it, you get a couple of reminders.
- Clinician review. A licensed clinician reviews your intake, usually within 24 to 48 business hours. WeightWise RX™ visits are asynchronous, so you do not need to schedule a live video call or visit an office. If your clinician has a question, they message you in the Nimbus Member Portal (opens in a new tab), and you reply when it suits you.
- Your plan is ready. Once your clinician finalizes your treatment plan, you can see your prescribed medication in the portal.
- Your medication ships. Your order goes to Lake Hills Pharmacy, an NABP-accredited 503A compounding pharmacy, which fills your prescription and ships it within 5 business days. You receive a tracking email when it ships.
- Welcome call. A Nimbus team member calls you to make sure you have everything you need. If they miss you by phone, they follow up by email.
- Refills. As your supply runs low, you get refill reminders in the portal, by text and by email. Complete the short refill questionnaire each cycle so your clinician can review it before your next fill.
Your medication does not refill automatically. You need to complete the refill questionnaire each cycle to receive your next fill.
What happened to the Core and Sustain plans of WeightWise RX™?
The WeightWise RX™ Core plan and Sustain plan (micro-dosing) have been phased out and are no longer available. The Sustain plan was phased out on April 2, 2026, and the Core plan on May 1, 2026.
WeightWise RX™ now has one plan, with the same price at any dose. Your clinician can adjust your medication as needed without a change in your cost. You choose how you pay: a monthly plan, billed as you go, or a 3-month or 6-month term. Changing between semaglutide and tirzepatide does change your rate, because the two medicines have different rates.
If you are on a Core or Sustain plan now. Your treatment continues as usual until your current subscription period ends. These plans cannot be renewed, so you then move to the current plan. See Can I renew or re-enroll in the Core or Sustain plan?
For current plans and prices, see WeightWise RX™.
Can I renew or re-enroll in the Core or Sustain plan?
No. Both plans have been phased out and cannot be renewed. If you are on one now, your treatment continues as usual until your current subscription period ends, and nothing is needed from you before then.
When your period ends, log in to the Nimbus Member Portal (opens in a new tab) and choose from the current plan options: a monthly plan, a 3-month plan or a 6-month plan. If you do not see your previous plan listed, this is why.
Nimbus cannot keep patients on the old pricing, because pricing was updated for everyone when patients moved to the new portal. For current plans and prices, see WeightWise RX™. If you have questions about your cost, email support@nimbushealthcare.com or message your care team in the portal.

What is the difference between CarniSema® and CarniTide®?
CarniSema® is a compounded medicine that combines semaglutide and L-carnitine. CarniTide® is a compounded medicine that combines tirzepatide and L-carnitine.
For more on the two medicines, see What is the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?
What is semaglutide (CarniSema®)?
CarniSema® is a compounded medicine that combines semaglutide and L-carnitine.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. L-carnitine is an amino acid.
Your clinician sets your plan based on your health history and labs.
What is the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide is a dual GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonist, so it acts on both receptors.
Both are injectable medicines. They share similar side effects, mainly stomach-related ones such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, and similar contraindications.
Your care team works with you to decide which medicine fits your health history and goals.
Why is there L-carnitine in the prescription?
L-carnitine is an amino acid involved in energy metabolism in the body. It is combined with semaglutide in CarniSema® and with tirzepatide in CarniTide®.
If you have questions about your prescription, message your care team in the Nimbus Member Portal (opens in a new tab).
What is micro-dosing?
Micro-dosing is the clinical practice of giving a very low dose of a GLP-1 medicine. It was part of the Sustain plan of WeightWise RX™, which was phased out on April 2, 2026.
WeightWise RX™ now has one plan, with the same price at any dose, and your clinician sets your dose. To ask about a dose change, say so in your next refill check-in. For more, see What happened to the Core and Sustain plans of WeightWise RX™?
Is oral semaglutide available? Can I get an oral GLP-1 medicine through WeightWise RX™?
Oral semaglutide is no longer available through WeightWise RX™.
WeightWise RX™ currently offers injectable GLP-1 medicines, semaglutide and tirzepatide, as part of your treatment plan. Your care team works with you to decide which medicine fits your health history and goals.
If you have questions about your current medication, message your care team in the Nimbus Member Portal (opens in a new tab) or email support@nimbushealthcare.com.
