Summary
The Services of Nimbus Healthcare Corporation ("Nimbus Healthcare", "Nimbus", "we", "us" and "our") include two artificial intelligence features: Nimy, an assistant for you, and IntelliHealth®, decision support for licensed clinicians. Nimy does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and a person is available when you ask. Licensed clinicians make every clinical decision. We tell you when you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system.
How we use artificial intelligence
Nimbus uses artificial intelligence in two ways. Nimy is an assistant that helps you find information, prepare for care and manage your account; it does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and a person is available when you ask. IntelliHealth® provides decision support to licensed clinicians; every clinical decision is made by a licensed clinician, and no treatment is started by an automated system.
Capitalized terms that this page does not define have the meaning given in the Terms of Use.
What Nimy does and does not do
Nimy helps you find information, prepare for care and manage your account. Nimy answers are general information. They are not a substitute for advice from a licensed clinician about your own care, and they are not medical advice.
Nimy does not:
- diagnose any condition
- treat any condition
- prescribe medication
- provide emergency help
Nimy is not for emergencies. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 right away. Nimy memory features are off until you turn them on and can be turned off at any time.
What IntelliHealth® does
IntelliHealth® provides decision support to licensed clinicians. It supports a clinician's work and does not replace the clinician. A clinician decides whether and how to use anything that decision support shows. Licensed clinicians exercise independent professional judgment, every clinical decision is made by a licensed clinician, and no treatment is started by an automated system.
Your choices
You can ask for a person at any time. Ask in your conversation with Nimy, or email support@nimbushealthcare.com. Your request to speak with a person does not affect your account or your care. If you have a concern about how an artificial intelligence feature behaved, tell us at the same address so that we can look into it.
Telling you when you are interacting with artificial intelligence
We tell you when you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system. We do this consistent with the Texas Responsible Artificial Intelligence Governance Act and other applicable laws. If your clinician uses IntelliHealth® in relation to your care, the Telehealth Informed Consent tells you so before care begins.
How information is handled
Information that you share with Nimy or through the Services is handled as described in the Privacy Policy and, where it is protected health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices. We do not use health information for advertising. The Privacy Policy also explains your privacy choices and rights.
The Artificial intelligence features section of the Terms of Use and the Telehealth Informed Consent describe our use of artificial intelligence in the same way.
Dispute resolution
Disputes relating to this document are resolved as described in the Dispute resolution and arbitration section of the Terms of Use, which is incorporated by reference.
How we improve these systems
We improve Nimy and IntelliHealth® with de-identified data, which cannot reasonably be linked to you, and we may use, share and license de-identified data for any lawful purpose, including developing, training, testing and validating our models and supporting intellectual-property filings.
Where the law permits, we also use information that identifies you to develop, test, improve and support our own artificial intelligence, machine learning and large language model features, applying privacy-protective measures where feasible. These uses are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time in the Notification and Privacy Center in your account. Where your state's law requires your separate consent, we ask for it separately.
To use Nimy you must accept the artificial intelligence terms presented when you first open it; if you do not, Nimy is not available to you and your care is not affected. Our models, prompts, thresholds and methods are proprietary. We never use health information for advertising, and we do not sell or share personal information for the purpose of training third-party large language models.
