How to Use My Prescription

How to use your injectable GLP-1 medication

Please always store your medication in its original vial and avoid pre-drawing syringes. Potency and stability cannot be guaranteed if the medication is drawn into a syringe and stored for later use.Inside your package, you’ll find everything you need: alcohol wipes, your medication vial, and insulin syringes. Be sure to review the dosing instructions before injecting.Injecting medication can feel intimidating at first, but our WeightWise Rx™ program uses a very fine insulin needle that most people barely feel.To see the process in action, watch this short video tutorial:You’ll also find detailed written instructions below to guide you through each step.Step 1: Choose and Clean Your Injection Site

  • The most common injection site is the stomach.
  • You may also inject into the upper leg or back of the arm.
  • Choose an area where you can pinch the skin, this helps ensure the medication goes into fatty tissue rather than muscle.
  • Clean the site with an alcohol pad and let it dry.

Step 2: Gather Your SuppliesLay out the following on a clean surface:

  • Your medication (remove from the fridge just before use)
  • Insulin syringe (marked in units)
  • Alcohol wipes
  • A puncture-proof container (e.g., a plastic milk jug) for safe needle disposal
  • Bandage (optional)

Step 3: Prepare the Injection

  • Check your prescription label to confirm your dose.
  • Use the dosing reference table to determine how many units to draw (e.g., 0.25 mg = 10 units).
  • Remove the cap from the vial and wipe the top surface with an alcohol pad.
  • Remove the syringe cap.
  • Draw air into the syringe equal to your dose.
  • Insert the needle into the vial and inject the air into it.
  • Turn the vial upside down and slowly pull back the plunger until you reach your prescribed dose.

Before Injecting: Remove Air Bubbles

  • Inspect the syringe for air pockets or bubbles.
  • Tap the syringe gently to bring bubbles to the top.
  • Push the medication back into the vial if needed, then redraw the dose.

Step 4: Inject the Medication

  • Hold the syringe like a pencil or dart in your dominant hand.
  • Pinch or gather the cleaned skin at your injection site.
  • Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle.
  • Slowly push the plunger to inject the full dose.
  • Remove the needle and apply a bandage if needed.

Step 5: Dispose of the Syringe Safely

How do I apply my personalized prescription cream?

All Nimbus prescription creams come in a Topi-CLICK dispenser, which makes it easy to apply the correct amount. Simply twist the bottom of the container until you hear the number of clicks specified on your label.

We recommend applying the cream to your inner thigh using the dispenser, then rubbing it in with your forearm until fully absorbed. Using your forearm instead of your hands helps prevent accidentally transferring the medication to others. You may wash the area in the morning if desired.

For best results, alternate between your left and right inner thigh each day.

Step-by-step:

1. Check your prescription label for the correct number of clicks.

2. Twist the dispenser to apply the cream directly to your inner thigh.

3. Use your forearm to rub in the cream until absorbed.

How to use a compounded hair solution?

Step 1: Choose When to Apply

  • Apply the solution once daily, ideally in the evening around the same time each day.
  • Make sure your scalp and hair are clean and dry before application.
  • Avoid applying after using styling products or before activities that cause heavy sweating.

Step 2: Apply the Solution

  • Part your hair to expose the area of thinning or hair loss.
  • Use the dropper to apply the prescribed amount directly onto the scalp, not the hair.
  • Dispense small amounts across different parts of the area to spread it evenly

Step 3: Spread Gently

  • Gently spread the solution over your scalp using your fingertips, pressing it in lightly. There is no need to massage, just make sure the area is fully covered.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly afterward to avoid transferring the medication to other areas (especially the face or eyes).

Step 4: Let It Dry

  • Allow the medication to fully dry before lying down, using styling products, or putting on a hat.
  • Try not to wash your hair for at least 4 hours after applying.
