How to Use Injectable GLP-1 Medication

Using Your Injectable GLP-1 Medication

Your WeightWise prescription includes all necessary medical supplies to administer the medication.

Before You Begin

General Guidelines

  • Inject once weekly on the same day each week
  • Store your medication in the refrigerator
  • Rotate injection sites (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm)
  • Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab before injecting

Common Side Effects

Some patients experience mild side effects, especially during the first few weeks:

  • Nausea
  • Injection site reactions
  • Fatigue
Important: If you experience severe side effects, contact your provider through the patient portal or email support@nimbushealthcare.com immediately.

Dosage Changes

If you believe your dose needs adjustment:

  • On your next refill questionnaire, indicate to the provider that the dose may need to change
  • You can also discuss dose changes directly with a Nimbus provider
